From a small workshop to a factory
Sakeefa started in 2016 as a small workshop that repaired umbrellas and replaced their fabric. Every summer we saw the same problem: imported umbrellas that could not handle the North Coast wind, and spare parts nobody could find after the first season. So we started building our own umbrellas and keeping the parts for them.
Today we work from a factory in 10th of Ramadan City with about 60 technicians and engineers. There we cut the aluminium profiles, weld and powder-coat the frames, and assemble and test the opening and tilt mechanisms before anything ships. You can see samples and handle the fabrics at our showroom on North 90th Street, Fifth Settlement.
Who we work for
We have fitted umbrellas and pergolas for cafés and restaurants that need a terrace people will sit on at noon, hotels on the Red Sea where the wind is stronger, compounds that want one consistent look across their gardens, and private villas and rooftops in Cairo and Giza. A café needs an umbrella that opens easily every day, a hotel needs a frame that handles wind, and a villa needs shade that fits the garden.
How a project runs
Every project starts with a site visit. Our engineer measures the space and notes the sun direction, the floor type and the fixing points. We then send a design and a quote, and you can adjust a pergola yourself in the 3D designer. Once you approve and pay the deposit, the factory starts production. The installation team arrives on the agreed date and hands the space over ready to use.
The warranty
Frames and mechanisms carry a 5-year warranty, and canopy fabric carries 2 years. We keep spare parts in stock, so if your umbrella needs a new arm, cord or canopy years from now, we can supply and fit it.
